About the role
AstraZeneca is looking for a SharePoint Engineer to join the Regulatory and Quality IT team. This engineer will Develop/Enhance/Support a wide range of applications in the Regulatory and Quality portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
Participate in business requirement gathering and design activities with business & IT collaborators.
Ensure development of Client side and Server side SharePoint solutions, Power Apps and Power Automate development.
Ensure optimum performance and stability for multiple systems for the R&D functions in AstraZeneca, including providing workarounds and identifying areas for improvement or solutions to permanently address the issue.
Provide 2nd/ 3rd line support (technical queries, bug fixes and small enhancements relating to application and platform), aligning with Astra Zeneca standards, change control procedures.
Take ownership of issues through from delivery or issue resolution or customer concern, as appropriate.
Support development activities by helping in code build and deployment, tool configuration management and administration, application environment set up, change and release management.
Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups.
Develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems, documenting and sharing that knowledge, as required, with global teams.
Liaise with multiple stake holders including business users, infrastructure/middleware teams, 3rd party software vendors for resolving issues and potential process improvements.
Mandatory skills:
4 to 6 years of prior experience in SharePoint application Development and maintenance(L2/L3 support) of off –the-shelf and custom applications.
Understanding of Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release management and experience working in large sized support/delivery teams and service now (SNOW).
Very good development experience in SPFX, JSOM and Power Apps development, Power Automate workflows and Power BI.
Good Development experience in SPOL Client Side development and REST service.
Basic understanding of JavaScript, XML,HTML ,CSS concepts.
Understanding of GxP regulation and related documentation.
Experience in application support especially in the SharePoint online environment.
Ability to create and configure custom workflows, Web parts, document libraries, lists, navigations to cater to the business requirements.
Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups.
In-depth understanding of SharePoint's system design and architecture, development, testing, deployment and maintenance in support of multiple user groups.
Desiered skills:
Familiarity with life sciences (Pharma) domain concepts
Experience of working as a full stack developer
Experience of interacting with business collaborators to understand requirements
Educational background:
Degree in Engineering
PREFERABLE INDUSTRY:
Pharma, Healthcare
OVERALL YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
4-6 years of relevant IT experience
