The Role
This is an individual contributor role, reporting into the Content Development lead/Editor.
The purpose and key expectations would be as follows:
Purpose:
Use content to create meaningful conversations that drive value, between both client brands and their audiences, and its customers, partners, and the larger industry ecosystem that it is a part of.
The key expectations of the role:
• Enable brands to leverage content to engage their audiences at every stage of the marketing funnel
• Help brands take their brand messages out to their audiences through content that starts a conversation
• Leverage content to help brands start conversations that result in value creation.
• Produce quality content that reflects brand story, brand message and value proposition to its target audiences
• Help brand drive greater brand awareness, share of voice, recall, for its key offerings and strategic business partnerships
Competencies required: Knowledge, skills, attitude:
Knowledge
Essential Proficient in English language writing and comprehension
Intermediate to high level of copy editing and proof-reading skills
Intermediate to high level of primary and secondary research
Desirable
• Basic to medium understanding of sectors such as BFSI, Information Technology, Technology, Ecommerce and Pharma
Skills Long form and short-form content writing Be able to adopt any tonality and style as per the client’s requirements Writing for web and social media Ability to create scripts/storyboards for videos Good written and verbal communication
Attitude Team work and collaboration Self driven, positive and having a strong bias for action Ability to prioritize and multi-task Should demonstrate interpersonal skills when dealing with superiors, peers and clients Open to constructive feedback, be able to work in a fast-paced environment
The Individual: (education and experience)
Essential • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline • 3-5 years of Content Writing experience including experience at a marketing/creative agency/news publication. • Should be adept at crafting editorial content or journalistic pieces • Updated with Digital Tech Trends and News
Desirable • A Bachelor/Master’s degree in English/Mass Communication/Journalism is preferred • 2-3 years of experience writing for the BFSI/Tech sector • Familiarity with branded/sponsored content/advertorials/native advertising • Experience creating content for multiple brands, in tonalities and context based on brand’s messaging. • Experience with digital technology is preferred • Interest for modern technology (Gadgets, Computing, Science, AI, Cloud, Emerging Tech, etc.)
