About the Role
Job Location: 1 Spring Street, Melbourne CBD and, Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, Geelong as required
The Senior Contract Manager manages a major public–private partnership for the Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre. They provide commercial and contract advice, oversee payments, handle contract changes, and help resolve complex issues. The role works closely with project partners, internal teams, and government stakeholders to guide decisions and ensure project objectives are met. They influence outcomes through clear advice and negotiation. Success means strong contract performance, reduced risk for the State, and better financial and commercial results across the project.

Qualifications and experience
You’ll bring:
Mandatory
Substantial professional experience in a relevant commercial transaction, commercial strategy or contract management position.
Strong business and commercial acumen.
A relevant tertiary qualification in commerce, finance, economics, business management, law, or related discipline.
Desirable
Experience in contracting of large complex and high value infrastructure contracts, or public private partnerships arrangements.
Experience working with State or Federal Government would be beneficial.
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions
Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.
Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
