Contractual Governance & Legal Oversight
Lead contract drafting, negotiation, and review for complex mechanical supply packages, ensuring alignment with alliance principles and relevant legislation
Interpret and advise on contractual clauses, including indemnities, warranties, limitations of liability, IP, liquidated damages, and force majeure
Ensure contracts adhere to public procurement guidelines and statutory compliance (e.g., relevant building codes, government frameworks, procurement regulations)
Identify and mitigate contractual risks while maintaining commercial alignment and delivery integrity
Alliance & Infrastructure Delivery Support
Operate within a collaborative project delivery model, ensuring consistent application of contract principles across alliance partners
Work closely with design, engineering, legal, commercial, and procurement teams to align contract outcomes with program objectives
Support procurement strategy and package scoping for high-value mechanical systems (e.g., compressors, pumping stations, mechanical treatment plants)
Provide proactive guidance on contract interpretation, dispute avoidance, and early resolution strategies
Procurement & Supplier Engagement
Manage end-to-end procurement processes for specialist mechanical vendors, including RFI/RFP management, tender evaluation, and contract execution
Engage with Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers, supporting onboarding, compliance checks, and delivery obligations
Ensure supplier contracts meet technical, commercial, and delivery requirements for major infrastructure projects
Monitor supplier performance against contract KPIs and escalate non-compliance or variation issues as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, or Commercial Discipline (Legal/Contract Law training highly desirable)
10+ years of experience in complex contract management within large-scale infrastructure or capital projects
Strong knowledge of government procurement regulations, alliance contracting models, and public sector governance frameworks
Demonstrated experience managing mechanical or technical supply contracts (preferably within transport, water, energy, or civil infrastructure)
Ability to review, redline, and negotiate complex commercial terms
Skilled in risk identification, change management, and supplier contract administration
Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional advisory skills
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with government infrastructure project delivery environments
Experience working in a Joint Venture, Alliance, or PPP setting
