Senior Copywriter
**What’s the role?**
News Corp Australia is seeking a versatile writer to join our team on a parental leave contract. In this commercial role, you will contribute to a diverse range of copy projects across our premier news and lifestyle titles, including Escape, delicious, news.com.au, taste.com.au and more.
This is an excellent opportunity for a personable creative with experience in an advertising agency or in-house marketing environment. Writers with a background in crafting impactful advertising headlines would be well-suited. You will have the chance to showcase your copywriting craft, develop short-form content, and contribute to creative ideation. Whether you’re helping to win new business or writing longer-form pieces, your attention to detail and clear, professional communication will be key.
We’re looking for a writer who is eager to grow and gain a breadth of experience. You’ll need to be adept at clarifying unclear briefs, juggling competing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines with a positive attitude. Experience with Adobe InDesign and Google Workspace would be beneficial but is optional.
In your application, please include a portfolio that demonstrates your creative thinking and copywriting skills.
**Who are you?**
+ 1 – 3 years’ creative copywriter experience
+ Experience responding to briefs with fresh ideas, compellingly articulated
+ Background working across print, digital, social, or video content
+ Demonstrated skills in writing impactful advertising headlines
+ Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities
+ Collaborative approach
+ Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude
