Our client, a leading conglomerate with a global footprint, is seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior Corporate Counsel to join their legal department in Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN . This role is critical for providing comprehensive legal support across a broad spectrum of corporate matters, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation management. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional legal acumen, strong business sense, and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements. Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management matters. Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, working closely with external counsel. Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues affecting the company's operations and strategy. Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademark registration and enforcement. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. Assist with corporate structuring, reorganizations, and transactional matters, including due diligence and M&A activities.
Develop and deliver legal training programs for employees on relevant compliance and policy matters. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various departments to provide practical and timely legal solutions. Stay abreast of evolving legal landscapes and industry trends to proactively identify and mitigate potential legal risks. Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from a reputable institution. Active bar admission in India. Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in corporate law, gained either in-house or at a top-tier law firm. Demonstrated expertise in contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Experience with M&A transactions and intellectual property law is highly advantageous. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong negotiation and drafting abilities, with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Proficiency in legal research databases and standard office software. A proactive and business-oriented approach to legal counsel. This hybrid position allows for a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, based in our Jaipur office.
