Role Description
Data is a key asset to Allica and is deeply embedded in all our teams and products. With data, we assist and work with Finance, Operations, Credit Risk, Product and management.
We are looking for ambitious and curious people who can help us understand our data better, contribute to facilitating the discussions between engineering and the data stakeholders and have an impact on the business by telling stories around the insights they generate.
You will be an integral part of the newly formed business intelligence team, building and developing the analytics and insights capabilities of the Bank.
Principal Accountabilities
• Understand our products and processes through the data we have or collect for the Finance & Treasury team
• Help the Finance & Treasury team leverage your knowledge of the data to provide insight, analysis and reporting
• Build dashboards and reports in Metabase for the Finance & Treasury team
• Originate, maintain and enhance Finance & Treasury data analytics ETL’s
• Continuously improve Finance & Treasury reporting and ease of access to financial and operational information
• Work with the Finance & Treasury team to understand their data needs and deliver their data requests
• Develop and maintain data standards, always managing the data libraries and dictionaries, documenting your findings and sharing them both within and outside the data team
• Helping us implement a data-driven mindset in the company and within the Finance & Treasury team
• Examples of work include building out the reports/dashboards for all areas within Finance (Financial Control, Regulatory Reporting, FP&A, Treasury)
Personal Attributes & Experience
• Previous experience working as a data analyst using SQL.
• Ideally, you are a qualified or part qualified accountant.
• Strong and experienced level of analytical skills in a commercial environment ideally within banking or other financial services.
• You have a proven track record of data extraction and manipulation with SQL and building dashboards.
• You are flexible to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a very dynamic environment and work well with stakeholders across the business.
• You communicate effectively and are comfortable with translating technical detail into business and commercial language.
• Personable and able to communicate at all levels within the business.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving delivery focused environment
