As a group, we partner with the Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Human Resources teams to drive the delivery of innovative technology solutions using common data, analytics, and platforms. Our technology operates in real-time environments, capturing and managing market, transaction, and accounting data, as well as the data from millions of customers daily. DATA ARCHTIECT LEAD SENIOR MANAGER (Risk & Controls)
Falling within the Global Risk & Controls Technology organization, the Data Architect Lead is responsible and accountable for defining an overall enterprise data strategy and roadmap that is in line with Operational Risk Management line of business.
The Data Architect Lead will lead and define data management framework for all the data domains, including data lifecycle, data security and data model design (conceptual and logical data model) suitability for self-service BI reporting and advanced analytics.
Responsibilities :
• Responsible for defining data management framework for all the data domains, including data lifecycle, and work with CDO to ensure that the framework is compliance within Group or Function CDO.
• Define overall data & Reporting strategy for Operational Risk Management. The strategy includes data model designs, data warehouse development standards, implementation and management of data and analytics platform.
• Define data modelling (conceptual and logical data model) suitability for self-service reporting and advanced analytics including AI/ML.
• Drive compliance with data catalog, data quality and data lineage strategies based on CDO group policy.
• Socialize and promote the data model and data management framework with Development teams, Engineering and Architecture teams, CDO functions and business functions.
• Managing end-to-end data & Reporting architecture, from selecting the platform to designing the data and analytics architecture and data solutions.
• Defining and managing the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization.
• Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
• Work closely with the Data and Reporting Development team to implement data roadmap for the enterprise data domains, including data management for our enterprise data, warehouse and advanced data analytics/reporting solutions.
• Partner with engineering teams and Product owners, including business stakeholders, to drive and influence technology roadmap, technical design, data architecture, reporting infrastructure and implementation of new features and iterations of core products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally or externally, often at a senior level, in addition to diplomacy skills, to guide, influence and convince key business stakeholders and customer.
Qualifications:
• Overall at least 10+ years of experience with 6 years in a Data , Reporting , BI architecture, data management and data modelling, with a broad range of enterprise wide implementation across data platforms.
• Strong 5+ years of experience in DB, Warehousing , building ETL applications , big data ecosystem Hadoop, Spark and Hive
• Knowledge of Python will be a strong plus
• Strong in UNIX Shell/Perl Scripting.
• Proficiency in data modeling and design principles for enterprise data, including SQL development and data warehouse management. Proficiency in data modelling tools
• Solid understanding of BI reporting tools an advantage.
• Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as the basics of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus.
• Having Tableau , tabcmd utility, tableau prep knowledge will be added advantage
• Able to think Innovatively to devise solutions that address the gap between business needs and technological constraints.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively translate sophisticated concepts into easily understandable language is required.
• Experience in leading sophisticated projects and working with business partners is an advantage.
• Risk Management , Banking and Financial experience is preferred.
• Highly motivated team player, excellent in written and verbal communication.
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization and across different geographic locations.
• Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and to interface with internal and external resources to define requirements.
