The Role: Senior Data Engineer
The Team: Automotive Aftermarket team provides to customers intelligence and insights on VIO (vehicles in operation) and automotive technologies through 20+ years of research and data acquisition.
The Impact: The position in Lab team, responsible for leveraging multiple large datasets combined with advances data analytics and data science to create new products with focus on adoption of global automotive and mobility trends (powertrain electrification, autonomous driving and mobility solutions).
What’s in it for you: You will work in an international and creative team, building unique innovative solutions in exciting automotive field together with S&P Global automotive experts and data scientists.
Responsibilities:
• Building stable data workflows/pipelines from multiple sources using Python/SQL.
• Optimize/Productionize the existing POCs. Monitoring the current data feeds/workflows to ensure data quality.
• Support data scientists in development of new product offers by writing scalable data engineering codes.
• Employ creative techniques for data wrangling tasks, joining multiple datasets together, data exploration in order to create unique products while working with domain experts.
What We’re Looking For:
• 3-5 years of experience in data engineer role with engineering background.
• Proven experience in data manipulation techniques with Python and libraries like Pandas, Numpy etc is a must have.
• Proven experience with SQL and one or more databases like Oracle DB, MySQL.
• Knowledge of working with cloud platforms like AWS (S3, EC2).
• Familiar with techniques to manage large datasets, including partitioning, indexes as well as data mining.
• Good communication skills and team spirit.
• Ability to work creatively and independently.
