As a Senior Data Scientist within the EDB Pricing, Analytics & Data Science Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for the development and management of models supporting the EDB Deposits business. This includes areas such as pricing decisioning, where our models help set up the optimal prices for millions of customers, and more generally any area where modelling and AI can add value to customer outcomes.

The Decision Science Pricing team within Retail Banking Services supports the Everyday Banking business through the development and maintenance of predictive models, creating insights to enable business decision making at a strategic and tactical level.
You will be responsible for the development and management of key modelling assets within the team, with an objective to utilise state of the state art data science and statistical techniques to improve business and customer outcomes.
We are seeking people who are:
Driving value through timely delivery of industry leading machine learning and statistical models that solve defined business issues and are fully compliant with all required policies and governance.
Proactively contributing to and encouraging the sharing of knowledge with team members and stakeholders.
Have good business acumen and collaborative in nature to work with product teams, curious enough to solve data problems and courageous in positively influencing senior stakeholders
Constantly thinking outside the box and breaking boundaries to solve complex data science problems
We want to hear from you if you have:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in machine learning and advanced data analytics with experience of leading end-to-end modelling projects that drive business value.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to details and data accuracy.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science or Engineering.
