Currently, we are looking for a DBA Resource to join our Product & Innovation team and help redefine benefits administration. Supporting the Product Roadmap in our new Center of Excellence in Bangalore, India, the DBA understands and executes on the company’s vision – both as a whole and on a smaller scale for their business unit. Whether writing user stories and acceptance criteria, creating process flows, reviewing user testing feedback, or acting as a product champion, this role works closely with internal and external resources.
About this Role:
• The Database Administrator is responsible for managing all Database Administration work including monitoring, backup, capacity planning, load balancing, performance tuning, Troubleshooting database issues, high availability and multi-site Disaster Recovery deployments on complex database environments.

Responsibilities
• Perform applications database administration services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, physical data modeling, development support & Engineering.
• Proactively monitor databases servers and respond to any alerts
• Providing database support in all phases of SDLC and agile experience is preferred
• Participate in 24X7 on-call rotation schedule for various production support, database maintenance, housekeeping, and installs
• Talk to enterprise teams for Systems Administrators, Cyber Security, and Capacity Planning groups as and when the situation demands
• Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds
• Should have strong time leadership skills with willingness and ability to prioritize multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
• Self-motivated with strong team, interpersonal and communication skills
• Establish database standards for operations, upgrades, migrations, and onboarding new applications and/or clients
• Write clear, concise, well-coordinated technical documentation to maintain standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of DBA experience on SQL Server / MySql / Oracle.
• Any experience in Cloud AWS/Azure is a plus.
• Interest in being involved internally and growing a small business (entrepreneurial spirit)
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Excellent leadership, peer management, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
