AWS Experience : 4-6 years
Senior Database Administrator (MySQL & Mongo)
Responsibilities :
• Administer database infrastructure
• Engage with other teams from security and other areas as appropriate during implementation and requirements gathering
• Utilize agile practices to ensure consistent and transparent execution
• Maintain current understanding of MySQL & Mongo offering with abilities to implement relevant features
• Keep abreast of emerging technology / industry trends in database technology
• Monitor standards / policy compliance by developing and executing governance processes and tools
• Model a culture that improves the organization's comfort with the speed of change, challenging assumptions, relentless pursuit of improvement - all with a high sense of personal accountability
• Proven ability to manage complex processes and drive continuous process improvement
Qualifications
Required Experience :
Professional with around 4+ years of experience in database administration
• Provision MySQL / MongoDB instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
• Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Prepare documentations and specifications
• Basic scripting and Linux administration
• Exposure to AWS RDS service will be added advantage
