As a Senior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, protecting, operating, managing, and maintaining databases.
What You Will Do
• Coming up with optimal database design to cater current requirements, future roadmap keeping in mind, performance, security, scalability, and availability
• Designing stable, reliable and effective databases
• Creating complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development
• Identifying any issues related to database performance and providing corrective measures
• Optimizing database systems for performance efficiency
• Technology selection (relational, no SQL, graph), best fit based on needs
• Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes
• Monitoring system's health and performance
• Ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
• Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time
• Refining and automating regular processes, tracking issues and documenting changes
• Assisting developers with query tuning and schema refinement
• Providing support for critical production issues
• Performing scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities
Desired Candidate Profile
What You Need To Have
• 5+ years of experience as a Database Developer or DBA or similar role
• Experience in SQL, No-SQL and Graph databases
• Experience in Microsoft SQL Azure
• Experience with Performance Tuning, optimization, backups, restores and recovery models
• Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
