As an Oracle DBA, you should be Highly motivated, detail oriented and analytical minded DBA with 4 - 7 years of experience and knowledge of Oracle Database Administration, maintenance, security, backup & recovery, and High Availability.
Daily operations responsibilities include handling and serving as the team member on the following items/activities:
• Monitoring database usage.
• Monitoring system alerts and errors and resolve issues independently
• Controlling and monitoring different shell scripts
• Controlling and monitoring user access to the database
• Controlling and monitoring Standby and replication process.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting Space Issues
• Monitor databases using OEM and scripts
• Application Patching
• Backup/Restore (RMAN and Disk based)
• Upgrading of databases to higher versions
• Cloning of databases
• Support Users in Deployment in Dev/QA/Prod
• Manage RAC clusters and associated grid infrastructure software
• Manage disk space via ASM
• Monitor databases using OEM and scripts
• Hands on Administration on Windows/Linux platform environments
• Performance Tuning
• Experience in Oracle RAC, Datagaurd, RMAN.
Support activities include:
• SR creation and follow-up Experience with Oracle Support
• Ability to provide technical assistance and recommendations to developers.
• Provide off-hours(Night Shift) and Weekend on-call database support.
