Ria Money Transfer is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team
At least 5 years experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA in SQL Server 2014 and above
Experience supporting and managing SQL Server databases in a 24x7 production environment
Familiarity with release and change management principles and processes
Proficiency in capturing and analyzing requirements, presenting alternative solutions, recommending the appropriate design, developing the solution to meet the requirements and exceed customer expectation and maintaining the required documentation
Self-starter individual with task/project management principles/experience and meticulous detail-oriented organization skills
Excellent organizational and workflow skills; ability to work on simultaneous projects with diverse working groups
Team player with collaborative nature
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision in operational database projects
Experience with SQL Server Replication
Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization using monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems
Experience with Log Shipping and SQL Server Integration/Reporting Services
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server, such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups
Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics
Experience writing at least basic T-SQL queries and reports
Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations
Pro-active monitoring of databases both from a performance and capacity management perspective
Perform database maintenance activities such as backup/recovery, replication, rebuilding and reorganizing indexes
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking/deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, data replication issues etc
Experience with using SQL Profiler or Server Side Traces/Extended Events to help troubleshoot performance bottlenecks
Ability to detect and troubleshoot and resolve database related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention issues

Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity, availability, and security of our databases, focusing on MS SQL Server environments
As a Senior DBA, you will be expected to maintain our critical databases, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that the systems are running efficiently to support the global money transfer operations
Provide operational database services, focusing on MS SQL Server administration
Own, track, and resolve database-related incidents and requests within established SLAs
Review daily service reports for database servers (Production, KC/DR Data Center) to ensure backups, maintenance, and monitoring are completed and service-related issues are resolved promptly
Respond to database alerts and escalations, collaborating with database engineering to devise strategic solutions for recurring problems
Ensure operational readiness and availability of Production and KC/DR data center database servers, maintaining business continuity during failovers
Take ownership of assigned problems and requests, managing and resolving issues in alignment with SLAs, and maintaining communication with technology customers on the status of their requests
Initiate and perform changes on production systems, and escalate unresolved issues as needed
Participate in an on-site/on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays, to support the production environment

Ria Money Transfer is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity, availability, and security of our databases, focusing on MS SQL Server environments. Responsibilities
