Full–time
Senior Engineer - Database will be part of Core Infrastructure Delivery - Data Platform Delivery and will be responsible for leading day-to-day database administration support and operational activities.
Responsibilities:
• Provides install, configuration, maintenance, and support of 3M's database technologies.
• Consults with application owners and other internal groups.
• Participates in on-call support rotation.
• Adheres to change management KPI's and practices.
• Performs assigned change management activities.
• Supports disaster recovery efforts.
• Participates in Agile scrum, planning, etc.
Requirements:
• 5 - 7 years IT professional experience in database technologies.
• Experience with database technology and infrastructure including Oracle DBMS.
• Experience with Operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Linux.
• Bachelor's degree of higher from an accredited university.
Skills Preferred:
• IT professional certification in one or more database technologies.
• Transact-SQL proficiency.
• Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle DBMS, and IBM DB2
• Experience with AWS EC2 RDS and related capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
