Job Description
Provide Senior Database Administrator support for the Acoustic SaaS DB2 database platform running on Linux in the Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud. Candidate should be able to maintain and improve on reliability, security, recoverability, and performance. These systems are critical to provide the SaaS products to Acoustic customers.
Responsibilities
• Provide 3rd level DB2 support for a diverse SaaS platform
• Optimize performance while minimizing expense on Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Oversee patching and upgrades without impacting production
• Work cooperatively with 1st and 2nd level support teams
• Assist by creating runbooks for typical DB maintenance
• Provide extended availability for emergency issues that may arise out of business hours, respond to pages and calls that may be automated when critical systems require support
