Location: Bangalore, India Mission Mission: • You are part of our R&D department which develops Nagra Pay TV solutions for our customers. • As member of SRE-Databases Team in a large-scale Agile organization, you ensure the delivery and the reliability of the Databases embedded in our Cloud solutions and On-Premises. • You help internal teams on technical aspects as the 3rd level of support, assist developers’ teams in the company DevOps evolution Responsibilities Responsibilities: • Contribute to the databases selection and evolution, to the cloud services recommendations and validation. • Define and promote company databases standards and best practices. • Deliver and maintain tooling/procedures to ensure database engine management (deployment, upgrade, security patches, monitoring). • Deliver and maintain tooling/procedures to ensure data management (backup/restore, model updates, performances monitoring). • Collaborate with SRE and Operational teams around the world, assist them to deploy, monitor and maintain the databases. • Ensure 3rd level support of Databases to Development and Operational teams, in relation to the providers’ support. • Participate to company DevOps transformation, assist developers in their responsibilities and knowledge evolution. Requirements / Profile Key Skills : • Master of one relational Databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, Sybase ASE. • Master of one NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch • Strong Experience on Scripting in shell (bash), Python or equivalent. • Knowledge of the graph database Neo4j is a plus. • Cloud technologies like AWS (RDS, EC2…), Azure. • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, VMware. • Work in an Agile, multicultural environment. • Knowledge of DevOps, deployment tools like Ansible, Terraform, Puppet Profile: • Bachelor’s degree, with more than 5 years of experience in Database administration. • Strong knowledge in One relational database such as Oracle, PostgreSQL or equivalent. • Strong knowledge in NoSQL Databases like MongoDB, Cassandra or equivalent. • Strong automation experience using Scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Perl) on Database environments. • Good understanding of Devops with ability to automate deployments using Ansible, Terraform or equivalent. • Experience with deployments on Public Cloud (AWS or equivalent), Kubernetes framework and VMware On-premises environments. • Experience in usage of cloud services like AWS RDS, MongoDB Atlas or Instaclustr is a plus. • Knowledge of Graph Database like Neo4j is a plus. • Experimented DevOps with Agile mindset (Scrum, SAFe frameworks) • Team player, Results-oriented, able to work with tight deadlines, curious, pragmatic with the passion for details and excellence. • Fully autonomous and share knowledge/Experience with other Team Members as required. • Good interpersonal skills capable of collaborating and brainstorming with technical staff with the ability to work in multicultural Global Environment.
