Job Description:
• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator to manage Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL instances, optimize database systems, administer PostgreSQL environments, and provide support for replication, CDC, TDE, and in-transit encryption.
• This individual will work on a range of tasks including configuring and managing Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL instances across Dev/QA/Production, optimizing and redesigning database systems to improve performance and support automation, administering PostgreSQL environments – including performance tuning, architecture, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
• Configure and manage Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL instances across Dev/QA/Production.
• Optimize and redesign database systems to improve performance and support automation.
• Administer PostgreSQL environments – including performance tuning, architecture, and security.
• Provide support for replication, CDC, TDE, and in-transit encryption.
• Perform code reviews and collaborate with developers to enforce SQL best practices.
• Manage database migrations from MSSQL to PostgreSQL.
• Provide on-call support and coordinate with global teams.
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and architectures.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and restoration strategies.
