Responsibilities
Perform database upgrades, particularly from DB2 UDB versions 10.5 and 11.1 to 11.5, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime
Manage DB2 UDB databases, including installation, patch management, and MQ software configuration
Coordinate and solve IBM MQ Replication, ensuring data consistency and availability
Configure and handle High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) environments, ensuring data protection and quick recovery
Apply database diagnostic tools (inbuilt and DMC) for performance tuning, query optimization, and monitoring
Implement and lead backup, restore, and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
Build and manage database objects, logical and physical storage, storage groups, and handle capacity planning
Monitor replication, run user authorizations, and automate routine tasks using scripting
Collaborate with IT teams on problem, change, and incident management processes (ITIL framework)

What You’ll Do

What You Bring To The Role
