Responsibilities:
• Design and develop EOT cranes and lifting equipment, including calculations for mechanical and structural components.
• Perform detailed calculations for load capacity, stress analysis, fatigue life, and other critical design parameters.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for crane components and assemblies.
• Select appropriate materials and components for crane construction, considering cost, performance, and availability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality control teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
• Conduct design reviews and participate in problem-solving sessions.
• Prepare technical documentation, including calculations reports, design specifications, and operation manuals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for design optimization and cost reduction.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in EOT crane design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and structural engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, strength of materials, and structural analysis.
• Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for creating 2D and 3D models and drawings.
• Ability to perform complex calculations related to crane design, including load calculations, stress analysis, and stability analysis.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., IS,ISO,FEM, ASME, DIN).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
