Responsibilities:
• Understand the design idea, concept and help deliver on design requirements
• Handle and sample for Indian Womenswear, Western, and Menswear.
• Collaborate with the design team to produce the final product.
• Sample different embroidery/print/other techniques to research and develop unique designs for Indian bridal design projects.
• Overlook the complete sampling process for all design collections / deliverables
• Liaise closely with sales, social and production team on an ongoing basis
• Visit, coordinate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to source, select and buy fabrics, trims, embellishments etc.
• Take on specific tasks to support any other ongoing projects
• Take in constructive criticism and produce quality work
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in fields related to design.
• 4+ years of work experience as a designer.
• A good portfolio of past design and creative projects.
• Expert with design software and editing tools. (Adobe,InVision, Corel DRAW, etc)
• Good command over design techniques and visual elements.
• Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Good sportsmanship.
• Teamwork skills.
• Creative thinking with attention to detail
