The Reserve Bank of Australia is currently seeking a Senior Desktop Support Analyst to join our Desktop team in IT.
The role focuses on enabling a standard, stable, and robust desktop environment for Bank staff. This includes the planning, design, testing, and implementation of end-user technology, such as desktops, laptops, tablets, and virtual desktops. You will also facilitate hardware equipment procurement, leasing, and provide technical support for the overall desktop computing environment.
About the role
Resolve incidents and service requests related to end user devices.
Enable a standard, stable, and robust desktop environment for Bank users.
Improve the overall User Experience.
Business analysis and reporting for desktop support.
Transition of new services into production.
Ensure security compliance through patching.
About you
5+ years experience with desktop application environments and server applications systems.
Knowledge of Virtualisation technologies.
Experience in the planning, implementation, management, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft desktop infrastructure.
Strong working knowledge of core Windows services (Active Directory).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune.
Knowledge of Azure, including Azure AD Hybrid Join, Intune enrolment.
Advanced knowledge of Windows SOE and security components, including the Essential 8.
Knowledge of Active Directory components such as LDAP, Group Policy, and Users and Computers.
Understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP.
Understanding of network security, with experience in Zscaler.
Strong history of completing tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
Previous experience in an IT support role within a large environment, including exposure to Incident/Problem Management.
