Job Role
We are seeking a software engineer to join the team building and managing Integration Platform and Services for the Bank. Integration Engineer would be responsible to solution and deliver the Integration projects in pipeline within the agreed timeframes.
The role is responsible to continuously improve the delivery process to align with evolving technology standards, governance model while supporting the business to market the API and Integration products faster.
Processes
• Responsible for Integration Delivery process to support the CIO and Business initiatives.
• Review the delivery process periodically and propose changes to adopt and align to evolving environment.
People and Talent
• Engage with-in the team to promote and contribute to self-organizing squad that scale to the demands of business.
• Build and cultivate appropriate relation with business/CIO stakeholders instilling trust and confidence in delivery.
• Learn new technology and constantly update self on the industry innovations and changes.
• Promote learning and knowledge sharing among the team.
Risk Management
• Identify, assess and highlight the risks that arises in Integration Platform and project delivery. Do not yield to project demand alone, always be risk aware in this role.
Governance
• Ensure the relevant SDLC / API Governance processes are followed in Integration Delivery.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders
• Integration Services' API Product and Platform Engineering Heads, Open Banking and Partnership Hive leads and heads from CCIB and CPBB. Functions, Enterprise Technology and Others teams building APIs and Integrations.
Other Responsibilities
• Embed Here for good and Group's brand and values in the Integration Engineer role of TTO ET Integration Services; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats); Always abide by Group Code of Conduct, complete mandatory e-learnings, timesheets and other activities well before deadlines without a miss.
Our Ideal Candidate
• Strong knowledge of API fundamentals and design best practices - Restful APIs, Graph QL, GRPC, etc.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, protocols including TCP / IP, HTTP, Network concepts - Load balancing, Firewalls, Network segmentation and External connectivity.
• Experience with enterprise integration and API management platforms like KONG, WSO2, WebMethods, Axway, Apigee, Mule, etc.
• Demonstrated capability in building Integration or API Catalogues for financial organizations.
• Understanding of Infrastructure, Networking and API cybersecurity.
• Experience in managing Integration test environments and monitoring.
