Job Description
• Scope & Impact:
• Leads or significantly contributes to medium-to-large feature releases; usually multi-person projects that cross engineering team boundaries
• Is highly proficient in java and technologies such as spring boot, spring data jpa, java based microservices and api development.
• Technical Execution:
• Must have strong experience in Java and technologies such as spring boot, spring data jpa, spring security, java based microservices and API development.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of common design patterns.
• Participates in the code review process, seeking and providing constructive criticism
• Exposure to cloud and some experience in container management using Docker/Kubernetes
• Strong familiarity with source code management and continuous integration processes and tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, Gradle etc
• Ownership:
• Estimates and manages implementation timelines and risk
• Keeps the Jira tickets and Agile boards updated on his work
• A strong sense of accountability and self motivation
• Leadership & Collaboration:
• Participate in daily agile ceremonies and other collaborative meetings to update and plan his/her work
• Assist Scrum Master and Product Owner in the details they seek
• Crosses team and service boundaries to solve problems
• Builds relationships with stakeholders including customers, product managers, cross-functional partners, and external partners
• Ensures that knowledge is shared amongst the team and does not position themselves or others as a single point of failure
• Team Building:
• Assists and teaches other engineers as a Mentor on an individual basis
• Works through others, lifts the skills and expertise of those around them
• Advises manager with insights and recommendations to improve the team
• Participates in the hiring process by submitting referrals, meeting candidates, attending recruiting events
• Conducts engineering interviews
