Job Description
We at Heady are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Senior DevOps Engineer for preventing and mitigating security breaches that may arise within the company's cloud servers. Our ideal candidate must be efficient and sound in the field of information security, network security, mobile security and cloud infrastructure planning. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, modifying and managing the overall system architecture for strategy. Your focus will be on AWS-related services (or any other cloud-based service), WLAN, networks & security risks mitigation.
Responsibilities:
• Working collaboratively with project managers & software engineering to create CICD pipelines which support deployment for monolithic as well as microservice based architecture.
• Manage & improve existing CICD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments in a timely manner.
• Writing flexible infrastructure automation code which can be used to set up different environments with minimal changes.
• Migrate legacy manual infrastructure setup to code automation.
• Following best security practices & stay up to date with the latest security technology and trends.
• Ensuring security, availability, performance, scalability, and automation of our infrastructure.
• Stay up to date with the latest security technology and trends
• Attend related conferences and educational events to stay competent
• Perform regular audits and provide reports
• Ensuring reliable and ongoing measurement and monitoring of our infrastructure
Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree (Preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, related discipline or equivalent experience required.
• 5-8 years of work experience, 5+ years focused on infrastructure/DevOps engineering
• AWS certification for DevOps Engineer Professionals or Solutions Architect Professionals is added advantage.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration is a must.
• Must have experience in AWS products like ELB, EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, Cloud Watch, CloudFront, SES, Route53 etc.
• Must have experience with at least one of scripting languages like (Python, Perl and/or Ruby, Bash and/or Shell).
• Must have experience in one of the infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or AWS Cloudformation.
• Must have experience in Jenkins with different pipeline types & declarative or scripted pipelines.
• Must have experience with Docker.
• Experience in Kubernetes is an added advantage. Have migrated a legacy system to Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of potential attack vectors such as XSS, injection, hijacking, social engineering, and so on
• Knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP
• Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks
• Knowledge of Agile Development processes
• Strong communication with an excellent ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• System and network security best practices
• Experience in modern distributed solution architecture
