Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing our DevOps processes and infrastructure with a strong focus on security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices seamlessly into our development and deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of software.
• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure code quality, security, and scalability.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate environment provisioning.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability testing, and participate in incident response.
• Monitor and respond to security threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our systems and data.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate security tools and best practices into the SDLC.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on DevOps and security practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and security.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with a strong emphasis on security.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, etc.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with security tools and practices such as vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection/prevention, and encryption techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or AWS/GCP certifications.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube, Twistlock, or similar.
• Prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role
