Experience Needed - 5 Years - + Years
What you can expect from the role-
• Develop customer facing professional documentation for the products and content developed.
• Write API documentation for API users, such as API reference docs and developer guides.
• Keep emphasis on documentation that is technically accurate and brings clarity for even
complex processes.
• Use your extensive knowledge of the needs of developers and pass this feedback internally
to develop the next set of Open API’s.
• Develop materials to document operational end-to-end process flows.
• Content needs to be error-free, structured simple, easy-to-understand and plagiarism-free.
• Owner ship of the complete documentation process.
• Develop and organize training materials, visual aids, and other materials
• Maintain Master Document Control Listing and ensure compliance with documentation
procedures
• Provide research assistance to management and assist with other projects on an as needed
• Train and mentor team members
• Planned, controlled and directed the document control functions
• Experience in using Schema ST4 content management system
• Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the documentation
and maintenance of documentation.
• Experience using Git to manage asynchronous collaboration across large teams
• Experience with authoring documentation in Markdown is core.
• Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger
• Knowledge of REST APIs is a must.
• Experience with programming to enable sample code will require experience, especially
around core web technologies such as Python / Javascript / JSON / HTML required.
• Knowledge of data analytics and big data technologies is a plus.
What We Expect Of You -
• 8+ years of proven track record for writing and managing end to end documentation in
software development environment (preferably in data visualization and analytics
products).
• Hands on current role with excellent API writing skills.
• Experience in managing documentation process and documentation controls across the
organization.
• Strong experience in Microsoft word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using Git to manage asynchronous collaboration across large teams
• Experience and hands onn with API documentation tools such as Swagger
• Experience of REST APIs is a must.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing startup-like environment
• Ability to work with globally distributed and multi-cultural teams.
• Knowledge of Internationalization, translation process & tools
• High proficiency in English language - both verbal and written.
• Experience in managing document revisions for multiple versions and in multiple
languages
• Strong knowledge of processes, writing principles, and style guides.
• Strong team player with good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and respond to changes quickly
based on documented results and metrics.
• Experience with programming to enable sample code will require experience, especially around core web technologies such as Python / Javascript / JSON / HTML required.
• Knowledge of data analytics and big data technologies is a plus.
