Maintain strategic relationships with enterprise Brand, Marketing and Communications teams to ensure cohesion, avoid duplication, and ensure integration of Indigenous perspectives across RBC campaigns

Lead the intake, prioritization, and execution of Indigenous-related communications, sponsorships, events, and campaigns, overseeing approvals and maintaining a clear narrative across channels

Serve as a primary lead for Indigenous Banking topics, responding to media inquiries and shaping public-facing narratives with authenticity and accuracy

Collaborate with the National Advisor, Indigenous Market Activation and Regional Market Leads to reflect real-world stories, community insights, and client success in RBC’s communications

Engage with Indigenous Public Relations firms and advisors to validate messaging and ensure cultural appropriateness in all branded materials

Partner with Sustainability & Impact to align messaging with broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives, particularly when highlighting Indigenous economic inclusion efforts

Develop metrics to measure campaign impact and storytelling effectiveness, applying insights to refine RBC’s Indigenous Banking brand presence and engagement strategy

Support RBC’s presence at major Indigenous business events, ensuring brand visibility, executive participation, and alignment with business development goals

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, Indigenous studies, or business

Deep understanding of Indigenous communities, the principles of economic reconciliation and the ability to ensure authentic, respectful, and culturally appropriate messaging

Strategic brand and communications leadership experience, with the ability to shape and execute large-scale campaigns across diverse internal and external audiences

Experience working with Indigenous media, including direct experience outside of RBC

Experience providing executive communications support, including navigating reputational risk communications

Proven experience working cross-functionally across enterprise teams and with external Indigenous partners to deliver cohesive, aligned communications
