Job Description
As a senior developer, you'll play a key role working on exciting new projects as well as existing products. You will be working with a team of Software Engineers to continue developing our .NET/C# solutions for both web and desktop.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of coding practices and how to apply this to real world situations and will ideally have worked as a lead developer in a small team in the past.
Responsibilities
You will lead development within a team environment, including the front and back ends of customer-facing and internal applications. Most of this work includes the development of .NET based services and applications but may also include front-end applications built with React. You'll be expected to:
Work to release delivery deadlines.
Participate and lead Agile ceremonies such as daily standup, sprint review, spring planning and code reviews
Provide guidance to the team on best practice in software development.
Provide suggestions for continuous improvement of software development practices and participate in achieving the improvements.
Assisting other software developers with either troubleshooting issues or in the setup of frameworks needed for technical improvements.
In conjunction with other software developers, working with the operations and Support team on any escalations to development.
Troubleshooting and problem analysis.
Adhere to coding standards and patterns and practices and contribution to establishing these where required.
Contribute to design workshops and work through requirements of software deliverables.
Experience
At least 5+ years' experience with SQL, C#, .Net, ASP.Net, Entity Framework, MVC, HTML 5, CSS, JSON/Rest Web API's, and at least one reactive web framework (React preferred).
You will have a “cloud first” mentality, with a solid understanding of building SaaS applications for the web
You're passionate about building something that people will really love to use
Implementing automated testing of your applications
Code versioning, ticketing/issue management systems (e.g Jira)
Knowledge of Agile and Lean product development principles.
