On a typical day at Pepper, the editor will
• Edit and proofread two to three documents following the clients guidelines to the highest standards of quality. Major Industries - Travel, Lifestyle, BFSI, Corporate , Entrepreneurship, Media Entertainment, E-commerce
• Apply the entire scope of work (on the following page) in those 3 documents, each of which would be approximately 2500 words
• Provide comprehensive feedback and suggestions to writers with a strong focus on timelines and quality.
• Optimise content by applying the best practices of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
• Ensure the content is plagiarism-free by running it through premium plagiarism detection software
• Identify and flag articles that do not meet Peppers quality standards
• Actively engage in quality assurance and performance review processes

The ideal candidate must
• Have an excellent command of the English language and a sharp eye for detail
• Have at least 2 years of experience in content editing and proofreading documents from a variety of industries and domains
• Have thorough knowledge of copy editing and proofreading best practices
• Have strong research and organisational skills
• Be able to take up challenging and time-sensitive editorial tasks and deliver the same without compromising on quality
• Be willing to learn independently and improve upon their skills by attending regular training workshops and acting upon feedback
• Be available to work for 3-5 hours a day for 3 to 7 days a week on a freelance basis from any remote location
