Job Description

Who We Are
Hi! We’re The Heist, the production, post production and motion design arm of Thinkingbox, a global creative collective shaping the future of brands through craft and curiosity. Our team brings together unique perspectives in production, design, technology, and creativity that push the boundaries for our clients to create work that is uniquely ours. We are a curious bunch that loves to think big, continuously learn, and create. We love our culture and the natural collaboration that happens in and around our five offices, from dog parties, to happy hour Thursdays, to random team trips to Whistler, we maintain a vibrant work environment. However, for one month a year we encourage our people to explore the world. Try working from another office or even the beaches of Mexico and expand your worldview, then bring that experience back to the team.

Cut polished, dynamic edits for broadcast, social campaigns and integrated projects for top-tier clients
Collaborate closely with VFX artists, motion designers, and creative teams to ensure seamless integration of post elements
Deliver final picture lock and finishing, including online, colour prep, conform, and versioning
Provide creative input on pacing, structure, and visual storytelling
Maintain a high standard of quality, ensuring that all output meets agency and client expectations
Help guide junior editors and freelancers when needed
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience editing high-end commercial work in an agency or production studio setting
Proven experience as both an editor and finisher, including experience with delivery for broadcast and digital
Strong understanding of VFX and motion pipelines, and comfort working in collaboration with those teams
Experience working on complex campaigns with multiple deliverables and fast turnarounds
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, with knowledge of After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, and Flame as a plus
A portfolio that showcases your ability to cut smart, compelling, and visually impactful work for major brands
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Points
Familiarity with finishing workflows including colour grading, online, and mastering
Understanding of storytelling across platforms – broadcast, social, digital, experiential
Agency or post house experience with global brand campaigns
Equal Opportunity
At The Heist, we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and empowered to thrive. We believe that diversity is our creative strength – it's the range of perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds that fuels our best ideas and most innovative solutions.
