Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Senior Embedded QA Engineer located in Mumbai. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to quality assurance in embedded systems, ensuring the reliability and functionality of IoT devices and their integration with our platform.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electronics Telecommunications Engineering.
• 2+ years in embedded hardware/firmware testing & quality planning.
• Ability to read electronic schematics and knowledge of MCU peripherals, including ADC/DAC, RTC, memory chip, UART, I2C, GPIO, and EEPROM.
• Familiarity with DSO, logic analyzer, oscilloscope, multimeter, and signal generator to measure voltage, current, power, and frequency.
• Ability to understand product specifications, design test plans/cases, execute, record bugs, generate test reports, and maintain documentation.
• Experience reviewing Gerber files and schematics.
• Experience with ESP32 IDF IDE and Arduino IDE.
• Knowledge of IR communication and networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, MQTT).
• Familiarity with software debugging tools like SWD and JTAG
• Experience in test execution, quality assurance, and manual testing/maintaining bugs on Jira.
• Strong understanding of test cases and product testing methodologies.
• Experience in embedded systems and IoT devices.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C/Python.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Understanding the product specifications, designing test plans/cases, executing test cases, recording bugs, generating test reports, and maintaining documentation.
• Testing and maintenance of firmware.
• Testing various sensors and modules.
• Hardware testing and debugging.
• Debugging IR protocols on ESP32.
• Collaborate with other teams for device and application integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IoT device connectivity, data transmission, and system integration issues.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal teams and customers.
• Conduct site visits for project planning, execution, and troubleshooting of devices.
• Prepare design documents.
