Job Summary
Database administrator will be part of 6-member database / IT Infrastructure team for Olam Information Services. S/he will be responsible for handling Oracle database support on operations & Projects.
Whereas h/she should be able to Create, configure, patch the Oracle database, Monitor the events, alerts, work on incidents, Changes & problem tickets.
Perform daily health check on the database platform including backup monitoring, handling all type of DB issues including performance bottlenecks.
Besides, s/he would need to work on Database upgrade, migration and other DB related projects. Candidate must be ready to support other RDBMS such as SAP-HANA, Sybase & DB2,etc.
Job Description
General administration of Oracle DBs on 11g, 12c, 18c & 1+c
Experience on Oracle RAC, ASM, Dataguard
Installation, Configuration, Patching of Oracle DB
Upgrade, Migration of Oracle Database
Export/Import backups, RMAN backups and exposure on different recovery scenarios using Rman
Experience on Schema, DB Refresh and Cloning using expdp, impdp
Troubleshooting Issues on DB, ORA errors and DB Performance tuning
Good to have experience on OEM Grid monitoring console Installation, Configuration
Experience on OS such as Linux, Windows 2012, 2014, 2016 & 2026
Experience on ITIL process such as Incident, Service Request, Problem and Change management
The DB Admin will be mandatorily involved in projects pertaining to other RDBMS, therefore, it is Good to have experience working on RDBMS such as SAP-HANA, Sybase & DB2, the required training will be provided, if need be
Willingness to work on call support for 24/7 on rotational basis.
Profile Description
A minimum of 6 years of experience as an Oracle DBA
Graduate/Postgraduate in Science/Engineering with at least 6 years of proven experience in Oracle and other RDBMS support experience
Willingness to work on other RDBMS such as SAP-HANA, Sybase & DB2 is mandatory, the required training will be provided
Certification on ITIL, OCP or any other DBs are preferred
Good written and verbal Communication skill is a must
