Role - Performance tester with Python, Locust performance tool experience
Responsibilities-
Performance Test Engineer
• Understanding and drive performance test requirements from the non-functional requirements/user stories
• Understand the performance testing business scenarios identified for performance test
• Performance Test environment and Test Data Setup
• Design Performance Test Scripts for enterprise applications based on Requirements on on-premise, cloud environments and on both desktop and mobile platforms
• Analyzing the service level agreement objectives
• Designing workload model as per the business requirements
• Enhancing the scripts by creating/implementing Parameterization, Checkpoints,transactions, re-usable functions, co-relations, actions, iterations, pacing and think time
• Test Scenario Execution
• Identifies application performance bottlenecks and facilitates root cause analysis of system issues to minimize impact and future occurrence.
• Collaborate with Business/development teams to improve system performance
• Designing performance Monitoring by using monitoring tools
• Analyzing the test results, logging performance defects and preparing detailed test reports
• Communicate progress and issues through regular Status Reports
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (B.E) or Masters of Computer Application (MCA) from a premier Institute
• 4-5 years of automated testing experience in the I.T. Industry
Mandatory Skills
• 4+ years of experience in performance testing
• 1+ years with python performance testing using Locust performance tool.
• Experience with designing and executing performance test strategies and tools (locust)
• Good to have experience working with large scale Web applications using tools like JMeter, Load Runner, Load Ninja Flood IO etc on both desktop and mobile platforms
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing including, but not limited to load, stress and endurance test planning, scripting and execution.
• Strong experience with performance testing techniques such as performance work load modelling, establishing baselines, services monitoring, and profiling system performance.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and agile development environment to work on Performance Engineering test activities, correlate application release plans with Performance Engineering testing activities, status reporting, and prioritizing in concert with business needs and priorities.
• Experience in configuring and executing scripts using performance test tools
• Preferable to have experience performance testing applications and systems in an AWS environment.
• Experience in testing the performance of RESTful API.
• Extensive understanding web application and browser concepts (HTTP/HTTPS, connections, cookies, caching, streaming, etc.).
• Performance testing experience working with multiple databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, noSQL etc.
• Experience handling and creating test data in various formats (JSON, XML, CSV, etc.) while understanding data storage, encoding, encryption, data transformation, and related concepts.
• Adept at analyzing the CPU Utilization, Memory usage, Network usage, Garbage Collection and DB Parameters and DB Reports to verify the performance of the applications.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools across a wide variety of technologies like Dynatrace.
• Experience in summarizing performance test results in a clear and concise manner to management.
