Job Summary
Job Title – Senior Engineer
Location – Whitefield, Bangalore
Shift – General
This role will actively contribute towards the development of automated test fixtures and tools. Help develop a test framework and ensure validation of the same for use. Execute the suite of functional and regression test cases on multiple application platforms like web, mobile and desktop. Review test artifacts and drive improvements in V&V efficiency across release trains through automation. Drive reviews with quality team and ensure closure of all comments/gaps/non-compliances.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for system/ subsystem/component level test automation using LabVIEW and other tools, requirements collection and system level design on the automation
Own and drive the system test framework development and software tool validation initiatives
Interact with cross-functional team members and external partners to develop and refine test automation strategy and approach; ability to work with external partners to drive the implementation
Own the development of testing tools/utilities on need basis
Adherence to committed milestones and agreed scope of builds/releases by completing the assigned activities as planned, proactively highlighting dependencies & risks for assigned activities
Ensure complete test coverage of SW changes/scope by working closely with the test leaders.
Drive reviews with quality team and ensure closure of all comments/gaps/non-compliances
Review test artifacts and drive improvements in V&V efficiency across release trains
Communicate test results and defect reports to stakeholders periodically
Execute the suite of functional and regression test cases on multiple application platforms like web, mobile and desktop
Assist in the documentation of traceability from requirements to verification records and from requirements to design entities
Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems and possess the ability to think abstractly
Qualifications
Bachelors in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology or a related specialization with 6-8 years of related work experience
Skills
6-8 years of experience in software testing with minimum of 4 years into test automation for complex electro mechanical devices.
Excellent programming skills in LabVIEW and/or Python.
Hands-on experience in building test automation using Python/Java/Ruby will be an added advantage
Hands-on software application development experience.
Possess superior debugging skills to discover causes of test failures and environment issues.
Experience in TDD/BDD methodologies.
Proficient in testing methodologies, processes, tools and techniques and qualification of the same in a Medical, Aerospace or Automotive domains.
Good knowledge on healthcare processes and best practices is desired
Experience working in agile model and using Jira for tracking activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Quick learner and self-starter, able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ISTQB Certification
Knowledge of medical device software development including knowledge of standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304
