What you’ll be doing...
You will perform the role of a lead devops engineer working on Linux, Kubernetes, DevOps Tools, Unix Shell/Perl scripting, AWS Knowledge and hands-on experience in handling Tier 2 and above responsibilities. Your role will be critical to set up new environments, deep dive troubleshooting and implementations.
Identifying the root cause quickly and take corrective actions with tight SLA's and avoid downtime.
Identifying monitoring gaps and build Scripts for monitoring quickly and set them across multiple applications. (Using Shell, Python, Java).
Understanding on Unix/Linux OS (On-premise & Cloud), WebLogic and Client-Server model application and work with System Admins, Middleware and Development teams to get permanent solutions in On-premise and AWS platforms.
Working on Release deploys for multiple applications using Jenkins, Ansible and perform application health checks using various tools in On-premise and AWS platforms.
Representing in outage calls for the application and provide technical solutions and long-term fix.
Performing Incident management and problem management with defined SLA’s using various ticketing tools and scripts.

What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in Ansible and Jenkins automation, analytical skills and good ability to summarize and convey the key messages.
Experience in an agile project environment and be ready to juggle between competing priorities.
Knowledge of automation tools likeCI/CD pipeline, Unix (preferably Linux) & Windows, Shell scripting, Python.
Experience in automation DevOps Engineer to transform the applications to CI/CD by applying industry best tools and techniques.
Experience in application or environment setup including but not limited to builds, Installs, configures, troubleshoot, monitor, maintain and upgrade software.
Knowledge of working with the global team stakeholders in the US overlapping hours.
Willingness to work in 247 Operations support Model.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A Master Degree.
Experience in Production support functions with majorly working on Ansible automation priorities, Application maintenance and support using DevOps Tools, Perl/Shell.
Knowledge of LINUX Operating system and adept in any of the scripting languages like shell, awk, Perl etc.
Excellent working experience on the following tools and languages: Shell scripting, Ansible, Python, Rest APIs, Gitlab.
Experience in Windows & Linux Administration, Virtualization as it will help in understanding the requirements from Operations.
Experience in variety of hosting approaches e.g. On Premises or Cloud based Platforms, primarily AWS.
Knowledge of CI and CD using GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, JIRA etc.
Knowledge of Telecom domain & SQL is also an added advantage
Knowledge of Coding with different scripting languages.
Experience in handling of servers like Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, databases like MySQL.
Strong debugging skills in traversing through logs and identify root cause quickly.
Experience in Monitoring tools like NewRelic, DataDog, Splunk and ELK etc and use the data for automation of monitoring.
