What's the role?
Reporting to the Chief Engineer of Customer Data, ESG, Credit Risk, and Analytics within CIB Technology, this Senior Engineer position offers the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping impactful technology solutions that support the CIB Technology Division’s ongoing development needs. You will be a trusted and valued contributor within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
In this role, you’ll partner with colleagues across multiple business units on high impact initiatives that aim to deliver innovative, human centered analytics solutions aligned with the strategic goals of the bank and broader group. You’ll have the chance to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, helping to build strong relationships and making a visible contribution to the success of our technology and business outcomes.
You’ll also work closely with the Domain Owner to help guide the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of applications. Within the development team, you’ll play an important role in mentoring others, encouraging knowledge sharing, and contributing to a culture of inclusion, growth, and shared achievement.
What do I need?
7+ years in software development, coupled with tertiary qualifications in computer science or a related discipline.
Advanced skills working as a full stack developer ( .NET, Java, XML, ASP, COM/DCOM, Python, SB+ and SQL/PSQL.) including knowledge of major relational database packages such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase or DB2 (may be utilizing JDBC or ODBC interface).
API development experience using REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, Web service.
Hands-on experience with machine learning and AI frameworks including building and deploying LLM based applications (Generative AI, Chat Bots, NLP pipelines) would be advantageous.
Collaborate with cross functional teams including data scientists, engineers, and product owners in an agile environment.
Experience as an Azure/AWS Cloud Developer.
