Position Overview
Vend is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Engineer focused on Payments & Reporting to join our growing team! You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our payment architecture, leveraging Stripe to its full potential, and building robust financial reporting tools. We’re looking for a technical leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to push the boundaries of what's possible in payments and data reporting.
Responsibilities
• Architect Payment Solutions: Design and implement payment processing systems using Stripe, optimizing for maximum efficiency and revenue generation.
• Implement Banking as a Service: Spearhead the integration of Banking as a Service features, working closely with our product and finance teams.
• Build Comprehensive Reporting Solutions: Develop and maintain a full Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting system for our garages, ensuring clear and actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Lead Data Strategy: Work closely with security and product teams to architect and implement a data strategy that supports our business needs, while ensuring compliance and security.
• Collaborate on Data Science Initiatives: Leverage data science techniques and tools like Sigma Computing and Google Analytics to derive insights and drive decision-making across the organization.
Requirements and Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience in full-stack engineering with a strong focus on payments architecture and data reporting.
• Significant experience with Stripe and payment architecture.
• Expertise in Firestore, BigQuery, Snowflake, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong familiarity with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Knowledge of SOC2, CCPA, GDPR compliance.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and Sigma Computing.
• Background in high-growth startups like Shopify.
• Experience in leading complex projects, working cross-functionally, and mentoring teams.
