Job Purpose
Responsible for software builds and releases, which includes the design, development, support of builds, scripts, and installation procedures
Responsibilities
• Respond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environment
• Provide support and training to Operations, Development, QA and other team members
• Design pipelines for reliable builds & releases to ensure streamlined deployments as part of the overall SDLC
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support
• Provide technical analysis, resolve problems, and propose solutions
• Take initiative, detail oriented, and demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
• Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies and implement in a short time
• Daily Support and Administration of Kubernetes Clusters throughout Development, QA , and Production environments
• Collaborate with development teams to construct use case-based Helm Charts for container deployments
• Collaborate with development teams to construct use case based Terraform Plans to cloud deployments
• Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team-based environment
Knowledge And Experience
• 3+ years working as a Software Development Engineer or Tools Automation or similar role
• Familiarity with source control systems (Git, SVN)
• Demonstrates top-tier analytics and problem solving
• Experience working in a service-oriented team environment
• Project Management, organization, and time management
• Understand Continuous Integration and Delivery concepts
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies
• Linux & Windows
• Maven, Gradle
• Jenkins or Jenkins X; including
• Setting up Jenkins & Jenkins Agents
• Plugin management
• Familiarity with and using Jenkins APIs
• Jenkins Pipelines
• Scripting languages, for example Python, Bash, Ruby, Groovy, or PowerShell
• Creation, Support and Deployment of Docker Containers
• Setup and configuration of Kubernetes
• Design of Terraform Plans or HelmCharts
• Fluent speaking, reading, and writing in English
