The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, performant, and maintainable software products and services. Senior engineers at Linedata are technical experts with product know-how that act as technical subject matter experts (SMEs) on product architecture and functionality. This role involves coordinating and engaging in activities across development, QA, product management, and delivery organizations. Primary responsibility of this role will be within our Engineering Research team which works on Customer reported product issues and improvements. This position requires a high degree of problem solving, issues resolution and high quality of development skills who is ready to work in a highly paced development environment and make positive impacts on our customers / business.
Job Requirement
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain expertise in our full product suite, understanding both legacy systems and new initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and architecture, to gather and refine business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Prioritize and manage ongoing work tasks effectively using Agile methodologies, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Design, develop, and implement innovative features that enhance functionality and meet evolving business and market needs.
• Deliver high-quality software, emphasizing performance optimization, reliability, and minimizing defects.
• Identify, analyze, and debug complex issues within the software, promoting continuous improvement and robust software performance.
• Conduct comprehensive peer code reviews, offering constructive feedback and championing best coding practices.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, ensuring clarity and completeness for future reference.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies including Gen AI, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and applying new knowledge to improve processes and product offerings.
• Ensure adherence to security practices and contribute to maintaining compliance with financial industry regulations and standards.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing clear updates on project progress and challenges.
• Proactively alert stakeholders in advance when schedule, scope, or quality is at risk and suggest mitigation strategies.

Requirements
• 5+ years of proven experience developing enterprise software preferably transaction systems.
• Experience with .NET (C#) to develop large-scale software applications.
• Experience with developing enterprise level application using C++.
• Familiarity with developing frontend development using WPF or other technologies.
• Experience with developing database code in SQL Server.
• Proven experience in translating requirements into working features.
• Proven experience debugging software code with complex business logic and applications.
• Experience in asset management and investment trading is a plus.
• BS / MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong Communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Good understanding of the software development SOLID principles.
