ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team based in Hamilton, supporting projects across New Zealand. This role will provide technical leadership and engineering support to our operational teams while contributing to the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery, design support, tender development, and mentoring site teams, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical engineering support to site teams to ensure successful delivery of civil construction projects.
Undertake engineering design, calculations, and review of technical solutions to resolve construction and design issues.
Work with procurement and operations teams to develop high-level construction methodologies for tenders and project planning.
Conduct site visits to provide advice on engineering matters, quality assurance, and compliance with project specifications.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders while mentoring and supporting the development of site engineering personnel.
ABOUT YOU
Reporting to the Construction Manager you will be able to hit the ground running and hold:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Ideally Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status, or working towards it.
5–10 years’ post-graduate experience in civil engineering within civil construction and infrastructure delivery.
Proven ability to manage or support the delivery of civil projects.
Strong technical design and calculation capability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to travel to project sites across New Zealand as required.
