Technical Expertise
• Expertise in Embedded Hardware Design: A strong understanding of embedded hardware design principles, including digital and analog circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and signal integrity analysis.
• Microcontroller and Microprocessor Architectures: In-depth knowledge of various microcontroller and microprocessor architectures commonly used in embedded systems, such as ARM, AVR, PIC, and x86.
• Familiarity with their features, performance characteristics, and application domains is essential.
• Hardware Description Languages (HDL): Proficiency in HDLs like VHDL or Verilog, which are commonly used for digital design and FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) development.
• Signal and Power Integrity: Experience in analyzing and optimizing signal integrity issues, such as noise cross-talk, and impedance matching. Knowledge of power distribution, power management, and power integrity considerations is also important.
• Embedded System Protocols: Familiarity with communication protocols commonly used in embedded systems, such as I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, and wireless protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.).
