At KPMG, we are committed to fuelling prosperity for all New Zealanders. We bring this purpose to life through our work and the manner in which we conduct ourselves, guided by our Code of Conduct and shared values of Integrity, Courage, Excellence, Together, for Better.
Do you want to make an impact from day one? Our Private Enterprise practice works alongside New Zealand's privately-owned businesses to help them achieve their strategic goals. Our clients, which include international businesses, private companies and high net worth families who operate and invest across a variety of industries, rely on us for insights, managing compliance and driving growth.
The opportunity:
As an Enterprise Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in the success of these clients. You will form part of a team that builds trusted relationships and, with training and support, provide insights that drive decisions and guide critical transitions, supporting not just business operations, but the ambitious families and entrepreneurs behind them. You will get to work alongside other like-minded professionals who are focused on privately owned business but also be connected to the broader KPMG expertise in other service lines.
Day to day you will:
Cultivate strong client relationships and maintain regular communication, working in partnership with and being an integral part of our clients' successful finance operations
Lead, support and manage our client-specific Finance Operations (FinOps) teams (2 – 5 people per team) to leverage the designed operations, outputs, filings and insights for our clients
Drive a finance function that is value-adding to our clients by ensuring robust controls, procedures and processing, facilitating insight and confidence in the numbers
Be part of a team that assists clients with a variety of financial deliverables, including management reporting, cash flow forecasts, provisional tax, GST, FBT, bookkeeping and much more
Engage with clients to understand their challenges and offer solutions, including providing assistance where required with business tools such as Xero, Taxlab and Excel, suggesting operational efficiencies and changes we and our clients can adopt
Utilise AI tools to efficiently deliver the best outcomes for clients and create efficient processes
Effectively manage your time and prioritise various deliverables by communicating with key stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met
Manage clients and be part of larger assignments under the guidance of senior team members
Participate in team dynamics and contribute to knowledge sharing
What you'll bring to the team:
3-5 years of experience running or being in a finance function team (in-house or externally outsourced provider). Any tax or business advisory experience is a bonus
A proactive, client-focused mindset dedicated to achieving deadlines and deliverables and driving business growth and innovation
Strong analytical ability to transform data into strategic insights
Exceptional communication skills, adept at engaging a diverse range of clients
Commitment to enhancing your technical knowledge and thriving within a dynamic team environment
Foster strong team dynamics, have fun and bring all your personality to work
