As a Corporate Engineering Senior Software Engineer at Mercari India, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimising internal systems to enhance the efficiency and security of our global operations. This crucial role encompasses more than traditional software development, emphasising IT process automation and security operations enhancement
.Your responsibilities will involve streamlining business processes, fortifying our security measures, and contributing to broader improvements across our global IT and security framework in collaboration with our IT and security teams in Japan and the US. Key Responsibilitie
• s:Drive fundamental improvements to IT operations and the implementation of security best practices through engineering, in collaboration with the Mercari Japan IT and Security team
• s.Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in IT and Security operations, and design and implement effective solutio
• nsDevelop and maintain automated systems to streamline repetitive tasks and reduce manual effort
• s.Ensure compliance with global standards and regularly update policies to meet evolving regulatory requirement
• s.Foster a culture of innovation by staying abreast of technological advancements and continually seeking opportunities to implement new solutions that drive the business forwar

• ns:At least 5 years of experience in development, operating and maintaining large-scale IT and Security infrastructu
• re.Experience in writing design proposals and reaching agreements with stakeholde
• rs.Experience in working with the cloud (GCP, AWS or Azur
• e).Hands-on experience in developing tools/automation using Go, Python or any other scripting langua
• ge.Good problem-solving skills, and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independent
• ly.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent work experien
