Nexus Jobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Event Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our MICE department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to clients and ensuring the smooth execution of corporate events.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess a strong attention to detail and be able to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
• Provide sales and client services by taking ownership of the sales process, following up with clients, and addressing their queries and concerns.
• Cross-sell and promote various destinations and products offered by the travel agency.
• Prepare proposals and quotes, and coordinate with product and sales teams.
• Advise clients on suitable products and services based on their requirements.
• Build relationships with existing clients and address any complaints.
Operations, Bookings, and Reservations Support:
• Assist with monitoring service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
• Conduct site inspections of hotels, restaurants, and other venues.
• Coordinate booking requests with the operations team for various services.
• Update the department database and provide regular work-in-progress reports to the manager or chief operations officer.
General Admin Tasks:
• Assist with bookings for special services, such as transportation and accommodation.
• Conduct online research as directed by the team.
• Assist with the preparation of contracts and invoices.
• Provide administrative support and ensure smooth departmental functioning.
Continuously Wanting to Improve Your Working Environment and Yourself:
• Contribute to the enhancement of MICE products and services by providing feedback and client comments to the product department.
• Attend regular training courses to stay updated on product knowledge and procedures.
• Share information and insights with colleagues to keep them informed.
