Job description
The Senior Event Manager will oversee the end-to-end execution of events, ensuring seamless planning, logistics, and on-ground delivery. This role requires managing multiple stakeholders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring that all production elements align with the client’s vision and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Planning & Strategy
Collaborate with the client servicing and creative teams to understand event requirements, objectives, and target audience. Develop detailed production plans, timelines, and budgets for each event. Identify and evaluate vendors, suppliers, and production partners to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
2. On-Ground Event Execution
Lead and manage all aspects of event production, including stage setup, AV, lighting, décor, and branding. Oversee venue management, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols. Coordinate with technical teams for seamless AV integration and troubleshooting during the event.
3. Vendor & Resource Management
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality output. Oversee procurement and inventory of event materials and production assets. Ensure resource allocation aligns with project timelines and budgets.
4. Team Leadership & Collaboration
Manage and mentor the production team, assigning tasks and ensuring deadlines are met. Act as the point of contact between internal teams, clients, and external vendors to maintain clear communication and alignment.
5. Risk Management & Compliance
Anticipate and mitigate potential risks related to venue, production, or safety. Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and licenses.
6. Post-Event Analysis & Reporting
Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement. Prepare and present event debriefs and production reports for stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in event production, preferably in a fast-paced agency or corporate environment. Proven track record of managing large-scale events, conferences, and experiential activations. Strong knowledge of AV, lighting, and stage production. Excellent project management, budgeting, and negotiation skills. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with event technology platforms and production software.
