Our client, a premier sports management and events company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of high-profile sporting events in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, IN. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event management, from conceptualization and budgeting to logistics, marketing, sponsorship activation, and on-site execution. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, development, and execution of major sporting events. Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. Oversee all logistical aspects, including venue selection, setup, and teardown. Develop and implement comprehensive event marketing and communication strategies. Secure and manage event sponsorships and partnerships. Coordinate with athletes, teams, officials, and support staff. Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services. Manage event security, safety protocols, and emergency response plans. Develop and execute contingency plans for unforeseen circumstances. Oversee ticketing, hospitality, and spectator experience. Manage on-site event operations and supervise event staff and volunteers. Conduct post-event analysis, including financial reconciliation and performance review. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and permit requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in event management, with at least 4 years focused on large-scale sporting events. Proven ability to manage complex logistics, budgets, and timelines for major events. Strong understanding of the sports industry and event operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in event management software and tools. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Experience in crisis management and risk assessment. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
