We’re an inclusive employer who welcomes you for who you are, as you are – so, if you require adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know in your application. We also know flex means different things to different people, so let us know how we can support you to be your best.

About the role

At Sportsbet, we’re reimagining the digital wagering experience – creating products that are fast, fun, intuitive, and responsibly designed for millions of Australians. We’re on the hunt for a Senior Experience Designer who’s not only passionate about great design but thrives on delivering high-impact customer outcomes in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Experience Designer, you’ll be a key driver of design excellence in your domain. You’ll bring deep craft expertise, lead discovery on complex initiatives, and champion user experience cohesion across teams. You’ll mentor designers, collaborate deeply with product and engineering, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Sportsbet app – one of Australia’s most used and loved consumer apps.

You’ll:

Confidently deliver high-quality, intuitive, and accessible design solutions that improve customer experience and meet commercial goals.
Lead discovery and exploration on complex product challenges using customer insights, ideation, and experimentation.
Use prototyping to bring ideas to life and influence decision-making.
Ensure consistency and coherence in UX across your domain, leveraging our Sonic Design System.
Coach and support Experience Designers, contributing to a culture of collaboration, feedback, and growth.
Influence stakeholders across Product, Marketing, and Engineering with compelling storytelling and clear, strategic thinking.
Actively contribute to the evolution of our design system, identifying and filling gaps in patterns and documentation.
What we’re looking for

You’re an experienced and confident design practitioner who can navigate ambiguity and drive clarity. You know when to lead, when to guide, and when to roll up your sleeves and deliver.

You bring:

4+ years in experience or product design, ideally in fast-paced, product-led environments.
Expertise in UX/UI design, interaction design, and design systems – particularly with Figma.
A strong portfolio of end-to-end product work that demonstrates your impact across discovery, design, and delivery.
Experience working on consumer-facing apps or complex customer journeys at scale.
A collaborative, team-first mindset – you actively mentor others and build strong relationships across disciplines.
Strong facilitation, storytelling, and communication skills – you can confidently influence and align diverse stakeholders.
A deep understanding of human-centered design principles, accessibility, and responsible design.

The Perks

We work hard and play hard, so along with a competitive salary and generous performance-based bonus, we will also provide you with:

25 days annual leave (a whole extra week of holidays!)
Genuine flexible working and remote working policy with a $1050 work from home office allowance
Development budget to send you to conferences, events, courses and other learning opportunities.
