• Manages a medium-sized team of junior, intermediate and/or fully competent architects by leading the fulfillment of architecture's goals, whilst providing performance and compensation management, technical development and coaching
• Liaises with business units, product management, IT development, IT services and cyber security to define the IT architecture required to support new products, applications and services
• Plans the full architecture and design approach against sprint timelines, for assigned projects or area. Ensures the suitability of the activities and artefacts to ensure the approach is not under/over engineered
• Supervises multiple related teams in the root cause analysis and resolution of incidents and problems with technology in the architecture domain and in collaboration with other architects of other domains
• Monitors the team's adherence to compliance standards, implementing IT governance and risk management processes that safeguard the organization's technology assets by tracking key metrics and scheduling regular internal audits. Stimulates team members to adopt a mindset centered on compliance and risk management
• Oversees the identification and documentation of key architecture decisions and ensures these are shared and agreed. Oversees the documentation of data and application architecture for assigned area and medium-sized projectsGrade Descriptor
• In-depth understanding of concepts and principles in own discipline and a good knowledge of these elements in related disciplines
• Provides management and direction to professional employees may occasionally manage supervisors or managers
• Has accountability for the budget/P&L, performance and results of a team or multiple diverse teams
• Executes business plans and contributes to the development of team / business area strategy
• Addresses issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines; may lead formulation and monitoring of policy and professional standards
